Movie of the Day
I Am Not Your Negro (2016) — Documentary which attempts to capture a work on race and America started by James Baldwin before he died. It is wonderful to see a film avoid conventional documentary norms and create a challenging, intellectual, emotional work, but in the end a loose, rambling presentation eventually undermines its focus and it occasionally distracts itself by unnecessarily pointing out the already obvious relevance to the current world.
