Movie of the Day
None Shall Escape (1944) — A Nazi goes on trial and finds his life exposed as an explanation for his atrocities. Made before the end of WWII, this is an editorial arguing the necessity of (fair and legal) war crimes trials, but it falls into the trap of dehumanizing its enemy, blaming the horrors of the war on personality defects — which are, I guess, easier to prosecute — than deeper issues of humanity and society.
